Major electronics and home appliance retailer M.Video has launched a pet products category on its own marketplace. The platform already offers around 3,000 items for cats, dogs, birds, rodents, fish and other pets.
The assortment includes dry and wet pet food, treats, cat litter, bowls, drinking bowls, litter trays, toys, scratching posts, pet beds, care products and cleaning products. Dry pet food accounts for a significant part of the offer, with more than 2,000 items.
The marketplace also features products for walking, transport and pet care, including collars, leashes, harnesses, carriers, cages, enclosures, houses, seasonal clothing and accessories. The new category also includes automatic feeders and drinking fountains, smart litter boxes, pet trackers, heated mats and grooming equipment.
Prices in the new category start at ₽261 and exceed ₽54,000, depending on the product type. Karen Ashrafyan, marketplace development director at M.Video, said the company sees strong potential in the pet products category and continues to onboard new partners, expanding everyday-demand segments to increase customer interaction frequency and strengthen the marketplace as a multi-category platform.
