Russian Veterinary Medicines Producer Enters Thai Market

VIC Group has signed a cooperation agreement with SCR Research International, a veterinary medicines distributor in Thailand. The company has operated in the Thai market for more than 30 years, supplying vaccines and pharmaceutical products for livestock and providing consulting services to agribusinesses.

The agreement expands VIC Group’s presence in Southeast Asia. In addition to Thailand, SCR Research International will distribute the company’s products in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Sales will focus on three segments: pig farming, poultry farming and companion animals. Thailand is one of the world’s most dynamic agricultural markets, with a pig population of 12.1 million and a poultry population of 1,465 million. The country’s veterinary medicines market is estimated at $400–420 million.

The companies have already started preparations for market entry. Four products for pig farming are currently undergoing registration, while registration is also being prepared for four companion animal products.

To develop the partnership, VIC Group and SCR Research International have prepared a joint business roadmap through 2030. During the visit, representatives of the Thai company also reviewed VIC Group’s manufacturing operations and visited its head office and logistics center in Moscow Region.

Southeast Asia is becoming an increasingly important destination for the pet and veterinary industry. From October 28 to 30, 2026, Zooinform will organize a business tour to Bangkok for Pet Fair South East Asia, one of the region’s key industry exhibitions. The program will include three days of market immersion, meetings with international participants, new business contacts and ideas for companies looking to expand beyond their established markets.
